7/1/2007 Update from the Lin-Kravitz family: It has been one hectic year. Kaylee is talking and singing, Sebastian prefers walking, Adella is back working, and Nick has built a couple more (mostly unnecessary) computers. We've also moved back to Westchester for the first time since papa Bush was in office. As promised, here are some updated pictures:

9/1/2006 Special Update!! Nick is Back from China!! I had an amazing time and plenty of fantastic food! I had intended to write a blog while there but discovered (too late) that China blocks many US sites so I was unable to do so. The Internet is also horribly slow. Regardless, here are a few fun facts from my experience:
| 1) Even at McDonalds, large size people are rare. Western Franchises (especially KFC, McDonalds, and Starbucks) have invaded the east with staggering speed and success. The menu does not exactly correspond with western menu and portion size, but it is still well appreciated by the locals. The difference reminded me of the movie SuperSize Me, where a standard size fries corresponds to a small size in the west. The same can be said for the for the people. 2) Asia can be sexist at times, but it doesn't apply to motorcycles. It is fairly common to see women on two wheeled power vehicles (including minibikes and mopeds) often with children in tow. They are also as or more agressive than men when driving. One thing you must know as a pedestrian is that China has crosswalks, but cars and bikes still have right of way. We often had a stroller with us but it didn't help. 3) Most everything is cheap, but toilet paper is not free. Neither is a western style toilet. Often you will see a row of eastern toilets with one western one at the end for "handicapped and elderly", similar to the one handicapped stall we often have in western bathrooms. Needless to stay, I usually limped my way into bathrooms in anticipation. | Pictures!!!! (Click to see album)

We are still reorganizing our pictures. Here is our original album. In case you think we don't have enough pictures on our own site, here are some links to some of our other photos scattered across the web: Shutterfly Yahoo Flickr
Here is Nick's original web page circa 1995, when I still had time to build a web page. I still have some of the same hobbies as a decade ago, although guitar, chess, and magic tricks have gradually given way to feedings, family planning, and frequent trips to BJs to buy diapers. Such is life.

Here is a map of the countries Nick has visited. Hopefully will get to all of them someday.

Digg is a site I visit pretty frequently. Here are some stories hot off the press: | Bitty Browser is a convenient way to show a web page in a page. Here are some pictures of unicycles. |
I am experimenting with a blog that may eventually replace this page. This page is still under construction. Check back for more updates. Last update April 23rd, 2006.
